Gillian & Drydens Waterfront Wedding in Bloomfield, Ontario.

Some wedding days stay with you long after you’ve packed up your cameras — not because of grand details or elaborate timelines, but because of how deeply personal every moment feels.

The day began quietly, with Gillian getting ready alongside her closest people. The energy was calm and intentional — the kind of morning that allows space for real emotion. Soft summer light filtered through the windows as final touches were added, and the anticipation slowly built.

One of the most touching moments of the day happened before the ceremony even began: Gillian shared a first look with her dad and brother. Standing together, they saw her in her wedding dress for the first time — a moment filled with emotion, pride, and love. There were tears, long embraces, and a stillness that made the moment feel sacred. It was a beautiful reminder that a wedding day isn’t just about two people coming together, but about family, history, and the relationships that shape us.

Gillian and Dryden’s summer wedding in Bloomfield was one of those days. Set on Dryden’s grandfather’s waterfront property, their celebration was intimate, meaningful, and rooted in family, legacy, and connection. From the very beginning, it was clear this day wasn’t about putting on a show. It was about honouring relationships, slowing down, and celebrating in a place that holds generations of memories.
